This shows a small portion of the eastern side of the map board, the Ganges
Valley and the major city of Calcutta can be seen. The 1853 board is
one of the most unusual of the 18xx series due to the way it is made. It
consists of half a dozen large jigsaw like pieces which fit together to
make up the board (but then there is an extra small piece only two hexes
big that fits on the southern tip of India, it looks like an afterthought).
